The Drifter GT is the latest addition to the Cub Campers line-up and this new grand touring Double Fold camper trailer was introduced to the market at the Let’s Go SA Caravan & Camping Sale, which took place during 27–30 July 2023.
Cub Campers released its first Double Fold camper trailer in 2020 with the release of the Drifter, and it was a standout as the only Australian-made Double Fold camper on the market, offering camper-lovers the comfort and space of a caravan with the functionality and offroad prowess of a camper trailer.
The Drifter GT (Grand Tourer) has now joined this series and is tailored for travellers who want to move at speed in style, safety and comfort in a camper designed specifically for Australian conditions.
The Drifter GT incorporates the lightweight capabilities of the Scout forward-fold camper, combined with the functionality and comfort of the Drifter. With a tare of 1240kg, an ATM of 1800kg and a ball weight of 135kg, the Drifter GT is the ideal camper trailer for families who are looking for a more affordable and lightweight camper trailer that does not sacrifice internal living space.
A large part of this success was the customer feedback and extensive market research which helped shape the design of the Drifter GT. Ready for whole-family adventures, the Drifter GT can easily handle groups of up to six comfortably when the optional dinette table is included.
Inside, there is plenty of space to sit back and relax, with a queen and double beds, room for the dinette table and LED lighting fitted to ensure the interior is always bright without taxing your power storage.
When it comes to camper trailers, external living is what it’s all about, and the Drifter GT does not disappoint. The camper is fitted with Cub’s high-quality external kitchen, which features textured stainless steel work surfaces, a SMEV three-burner stainless steel stove and sink and LED lighting. A 100L heavy-duty water tank is included as standard, and there is an impressive range of storage options throughout the camper.
