Returfed sites and new camp kitchen for Lorne Foreshore CP

Camper Trailer Australia magazine — 17 August 2016

The improvements have now commenced and will include new stoves, cookers and fridges as well as a family-friendly bathroom to be included as part of a refurbishment of the existing ablutions amenities, with a completion date scheduled for October 2016.

Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC), the not-for-organisation which commissioned the works, has also funded the refurbishment of the park’s existing laundry, and ensured the revitalised shower and toilet facilities will better accommodate patrons travelling with a disability.

The efforts follow the recent returfing of all the grassed camping sites as well as the Erskine Cabin upgrades, which are due for completion soon.

The GORCC will invest more than $700,000 in the Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park during the next 12 months, with upgrades to the Parkview and Riverview cabins, road works and landscaping either on the cards or underway.

The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee is a not for profit organisation managing 37km of public land and coastline from Torquay to Lorne. All dollars raised through GORCC’s operations are reinvested back into the coastal environment, caravan parks and the community.
