VIDEO: MOUNTAIN TRAIL’S SOFTFLOOR ESCALADE CAMPER

Emma Ryan — 21 March 2014

The folks at Mountain Trail Campers have been very busy beavers over the past 18 months, employing a team of mechanical engineers to develop an all new, state-of-the-art hardfloor camper trailer using electronic design software and manufacturing techniques. Once they were satisfied with this hardfloor design — some $300,000 worth of trial and error later — they applied the same engineering DNA to the brand’s new softfloor camper, the Escalade.

In this video CamperTrailer Australia Editor Emma Ryan joins Mountain Trail's Nick Edwards at the King River in Victorian high country to see the Escalade in action. This brand new camper features a kitchen constructed from 100% stainless steel, including soft close compartments, a three burner stove, sink and a levelled out fold top bench. A Waeco fridge and pantry slide out for easy use.

Storage is key to the usability of this bright, airy camper, which is ideal for couples or families with two children. There's plenty of accessible cupboard and draw space inside, including lockable storage underneath the bed.

Mountain Trail’s Escalade camper took Emma and Nick all of 10-minutes to set up - watch the process in the video above and check out the full review in the CamperTrailer Australia Yearbook, out now.
