New Travel Website for Inland NSW

Laura Keys — 28 July 2015

Travel In, developed by Inland NSW and Bauer Xcel Media, publisher of Caravan World andCamper Trailer Australia, is a new website which aims to prepare and inspire travellers planning to visit inland and non-coastal regions of New South Wales.

Marketed as ‘Gourmet Traveller meets online travel agent’, Travel In not only provides essential destination information but also captures the essence of the regions, showcasing their local characters and giving travellers the ability to build personalised itineraries and book their whole trip.

The website was launched last week in Broken Hill by NSW parliamentary secretary Jonathan O’Dea, on behalf of the NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres.

High quality content

Travel In editor Emma Ryan said the Travel In team was working with local tourism operators to create high quality, bespoke content that best reflects the many wonderful offerings of their regions, in a bid to make Travel In a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to travel in regional NSW.

"Our content makes regional NSW come alive for our users, inspiring them to jump the back fence and explore what's beyond their own backyard," she said. "Bauer Xcel Media produces world-class editorial content in both the print and digital landscapes, and we have applied that expertise and genuine passion for storytelling to Travel In."

With a huge depth of editorial content already in place on Travel In for its official launch, Ryan said the team would now look towards expanding that library of material.

Bauer Xcel Media general manager of travel and new business Rob Gallagher said he looked forward to the partnership between Inland NSW and Bauer helping to increase visitor numbers in NSW.

"The reception we have from all stakeholders around Travel In was terrific and we are buoyed by the support from the tourism operators, regional government and the NSW government in announcing the new platform," he said.
