Here we shine the spotlight on Hitch Campers' Canning

One of the most important factors that many people fail to consider when purchasing a camper trailer is setup. It’s a process that you won’t have to deal with just once but multiple times across a week or fortnight. Where others have minimised and mitigated setup, the Canning completely removes the need for it.

Using a no canvas and no setup approach, the 840kg tare camper is ready to go as quickly as you can say the name. The design revolves around the queen bed, always ready and made. The electrical brains and battery are housed in the front toolbox, which is split for extra storage on the driver’s side for items like a generator or Porta-Potti, or whatever you choose.

The kitchen is found at the rear of the camper where the large opening door provides shelter, and with the Adventure pack option you can add a 270-degree awning. Fully equipped with a stainless benchtop and sink, 95L of fresh water (with the option for 190L), two-burner Dometic gas stove and a fridge slide to house up to a 60L fridge, the Canning is cleverly thought out to provide everything you need for a weekend getaway or a long-haul tour around Australia.

The Australian-made camper will have no issues if those trips are off the beaten track, as the combination of Hankook Mud Terrains and Cruisemaster XT Freestyle suspension helps the Canning exude confidence even on the toughest tracks.
